About this event

Music • Folk

Join us for traditional music and song on a Sunday afternoon at Dundee Burns Club. Banjo, fiddles, guitar, a double bass and, we’re hoping, some Border Pipes will be put to good use in a session in the Club's historic Rooms.

Marshalled by Banjo Brian Mckay, musicians and singers will include Scott Carnegie, Johnny Duncan, Coralea Mckay, Suzanne Gray, Kevin Thompson, Jim Duke, Stewart & Anne Brown from Lowland Folk, Ted Pollytello and Wilson Omand.

Music starts at 2 pm, but the doors (and the bar) will open at 1 pm. You can see clips from the May session here

Unfortunately we are up two flights of tenement stairs, so there is no wheelchair access.

Frequently asked questions

Are children welcome?

Yes, if accompanied by an adult

Is it very loud?

No, the music is all acoustic so there is no amplification. Eight or nine musicians playing together will produce a fair volume, though.

Can I park nearby?

Yes, in the Greenmarket and the Overgate car parks. There is also a car park behind the Caird Hall and Livehouse has just opened its car park at Yeaman Shore.

When do the doors open?

We'll be open from 1 pm and are likely to close around 4.30 pm.

Is there wheelchair access?

Sadly no. We are up two flights of tenement stairs.
