Event description

Description

Every year the Nobel Prize Awards are celebrated with a concert in Stockholm played by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. We play music from two recent concerts including one led by Gustavo Dudamel. This Venezuelan conductor, famed for his work with youth from that country, recently took Spanish nationality because he has been unable to return to Venezuela since speaking out against the horrors of the Maduro regime. We also feature a concert promoting human rights held in Geneva. The programme will include Prokofiev’s music from the ballet Romeo and Juliet, Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony and Richard Strauss’ Four Last Songs.

Music from the Heart events are relaxed evenings when music by a well known composer is presented in DVD format. The music is introduced either by a talk or a documentary.
