Event description

Description

As promised, we've got a delicious bit of news regarding the March 3rd event and even more delicious news about who the headliner is.

We've got a guy thats on fire at the moment, huge airings from the likes of John Digweed, lets be honest, it doesnt get much bigger than that.

Tracks on Digweeds own Bedrock label, as well as Circus and Platipus, just shows how good he is, and when I say on fire, I had to get a fire extinguisher ready while typing this (really shite pun intended).

His releases are continually topping the beatport chart, and I'm delighted that he's coming to play with us, heres just a little bit of what the big guns say....

'Winning early recognition for his talent as a DJ, Luke Brancaccio has played alongside the likes of Sasha, Digweed and Sven Vath, and rocked dance floors over four continents. Demand for his unique and exquisite mixing has taken him to clubs throughout Europe, to music conferences from Miami to Sochi, to the St Petersburg and Kazantip festivals, to a residency at the hugely popular and original Silent Noise parties in India, and on tours of South Africa and South America, where he played Creamfields in Buenos Aires and to the fifty-thousand strong Orbit crowd in Peru. Back in London Luke created the KHz night at The End, drawing premier DJs and a loyal crowd. He has been a regular guest on Radio One, Kiss Fm and XFM, and played at DJ Magazine’s Top 100 Awards.

Duly signed by Bedrock, Credence, EMI Parlophone in the UK and Nettwerk in the US, Luke’s progressive edge and technical brilliance in the studio saw him remixing for acts as diverse as Timo Maas and Dirty Vegas. Now a fully-fledged recording artist, his own track “Lovely Day”, written in collaboration with Bruce Aisher, stormed dancefloors everywhere and became a UK Top Forty hit and a Number One in the American Billboard Charts. Not content with being the hottest new producers in town, the duo formed a band, Suicide Sports Club, with Luke as vocalist. Their indie dance album “Electric Mistress” was Arena Magazine’s Number One Album of the Year and one of the Top Ten Albums of the Year in DJ Magazine, which devoted its front cover to the band. Suicide Sports Club went on to headline at the V Festival alongside Radiohead and Beck.

Luke’s latest success is the single “16 Bit Love”, which was released on the Defected label and featured in all the summer compilations. “16 Bit Love” was co-written with his new production partner, Ollie Bishop, whose diverse projects include Thank You Machine, an album with the critically acclaimed Border Crossing, and a reggae hit on Beatport. For Brancaccio and Bishop’s follow-up track they are joined by multi-instrumentalist Richard Wakeman, a fellow alumnus of the musical melting-pot that is West London.'

And on his latest masterpiece, a colab with Simon Berry of Art of Trance fame.....

'Luke and Simon's "OBLIVION' on BEDROCK is blowing up everywhere in both it's original and HOSH remix formats, both versions TOP TEN BEATPORT charts this week. The return of one of the most consistent names in Bedrock's history: Luke Brancaccio. As one half of Brancaccio & Aisher and Suicide Sports Club, Luke has been casually denting the Bedrock discography since the label launched, now teaming up with talented studio partner and founder of the Platipus Records label, Simon Berry of Art of Trance fame and also one half of Union Jack. An eight-minute-plus cosmic odyssey that sucks you right into the heart of its atmosphere, Oblivion truly lives up to its name and has been a prize set-piece for Bedrock bossman John Digweed throughout the summer. H.O.S.H returns to Bedrock with an equally incendiary remix, maintaining Luke and Simons sense of stateliness and theatrics. This is an ageless Bedrock record and we have it on good authority that Luke and Simon are already working on a follow up'

High praise indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, our headliner for March 3rd, Mr Luke Brancaccio.

Joining Luke on the night will be the MITA residents, Robert Clark, Brent Lawson and Gary Mulholland.
