Description

The last Music on the Farm live music night at Vauxhall City Farm has been and gone but we're already planning the first of 2018. Make a note in your diary; better still grab a cut price Early Bird ticket and give yourself something to look forward to!

We'll have three more brilliant acts;

Annie & The Make Believe are a London based folk pop band. Fronted by Australian Annie, their debut ‘Let’s Get Together Again” EP had success with radio airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing London, Amazing Radio and Tom Robinson’s mix tape on BBC 6 Music.

The release was described by ‘Gigslutz’ as an EP, 'filled with charming, honey-sweet vocals and delicate folky melodies; a beautifully dreamy offering'. Gigsoup commented on their music blog that 'these five songs represent the seeds of a career which are bound to blossom into a very promising future'.

2017 saw Annie & The Make Believe out on the festival circuit headlining at Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival and supporting Swiss pop rockers ‘Pegasus’ as well as playing a whole of host of London venues including Proud (Camden), 93ft East, The Bedroom Bar and The Finsbury. This year they will be off on an acoustic tour for Coffee House Sessions, playing at Universities around the UK before heading back to the studio to record some new songs. - have a listen here:

Christian is a Singer Songwriter from Cambridgeshire.Since releasing his debut album 'Midnight Calls', Christian has played many venues across the UK with his band 'The Whistlers' including O2 Academy Islington, The Junction Cambridge, The Dog and Whistle Hertford and many more. In 2017 after releasing the E.P 'Sail' Christian Smith And The Whistlers made their international debut at Alternative Fest in Belgium.

Kalon are a Berlin Indie rock duo Kalon was formed in 2017 by guitarist Tobias Hanel & lead singer Janik Setz. Setz & Hanel met at a concert in a Bar in Berlin district Neukölln. Both have a strong passion for the clothing brand All Saints, beautiful women & rock music so that´s why they decided to start a band together. After writing a couple of songs they have started to promote their music through dating apps to build a following and to engage with an audience. Their fresh, impulsive rock sound combines the youthful recklessness of the earlier Arctic Monkeys with powerful guitars of The Strokes or The Who. Their debut single “Gotta Let Go“ is going to be released in early 2018. The self-produced single was recorded in Berlin and mixed by Audio Engineer Richard Flack who has worked with Florence & The Machine, Palma Violets and Queens Of The Stone Age. The band recently recorded an acoustic version of the song at the Emil Berliner Studios which will be released a couple of weeks after the single. While they´ve been playing shows in the U.K. , Germany and Norway they spent much of 2017 in the studio writing new material. In 2018 they´re looking forward to hitting the stage with a full band set up to expose them to a wider audience.
