Explore your creativity through songwriting with professional musician Gareth Lewis in these relaxed and fun group sessions.
You'll learn different songwriting techniques, collaborate with others, and record your ideas together. No previous experience needed – beginners and experienced young musicians are all welcome. Feel free to bring your own instrument if you’d like!
Encouraged to take part in the Summer music project open mic takeover on 30 August (if you would like to).
Please note: A parent or guardian can remain on-site during the session - there is a cafe! However, you do not need to book a place for the adult, only for the child attending.
10am – 12pm, Fridays 1 August, 8 August, 15 August, 22 August, 29 August 2025
Extra session: Friday 29 August, 1pm – 3pm (recording session in the Urban HQ Court Room).
