Theme: Building Global Communities Through Music Tourism
A place’s rich music tourism offer can not only attract visitors and drive economic development, but also build strong communities both at a local and global level. If artists, entrepreneurs and residents can find in local music attractions a source of pride, opportunities for growth and a renowned sense of belonging, the relationship with other global cities is tightened thanks to music, and new networks of fans, companies and organisations emerge. These dynamics will be the overarching theme of the fifth global Music Tourism Convention, which will be held in Cleveland, MS, USA from Sept 29th to Oct 2nd 2021.

What we're planning:
-> This will be our 5th global edition, following previous events in Europe and North America
-> We’ll have 300 attendees and 30 speakers ranging from global tourism boards, music festivals & events, music content creators, tour organisers, tourism experts and the music & tourism industries.
-> There will be three evening events, two days of talks, as well as a full music tourism sightseeing day after the conference.

Schedule:
-> 29 Sept 2021 - Opening Reception @ The Grammy Museum Mississippi
-> 30 Sept 2021 - Main Convention Day 1 @ Delta State University & evening event @ Dockery Farms
-> 01 Oct 2021 - Main Convention Day 2 @ Delta State University & evening event TBC
-> 02 Oct 2021 - Full day of music tourism. We’ll be showcasing some of the best music tourism sites that the Mississippi Delta has to offer, from the BB King Museum & Club Ebony in Indianola to Morgan Freeman’s Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale.
