Recently named by The Times as one of the top 50 venues for music worldwide, Buxton International Festival’s (BIF) reputation for daring and excellence continues unabated this year.

Please join us at a special evening of music from this year’s Festival, and experience why this cultural celebration in the heart of the Peak District attracts the very best singers, musicians and speakers from around the world.

The event is hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute which is sponsoring the festival’s 2023 production of Vincenzo Bellini’s first great opera, La sonnambula.

BIF’s Artistic Director, Adrian Kelly, will join Chinese soprano, Ziyi Dai, and South African born bass-baritone, Simon Shibambu, (soloists from BIF’s La sonnambula) in a programme celebrating the work of Bellini, often considered the master of bel canto, and other leading Italian composers.

Noted for its ambition and creativity, the evening will demonstrate BIF’s innovative approach to the arts and how music can promote cultural collaboration across multiple boundaries.
