An unforgettable Muslim Hikers weekend away.This isn’t just a hike, it’s a 3-day retreat of adventure, relaxation, and community in some of the UK’s most breathtaking landscapes.

Set against the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park and the dramatic coastline of North Devon, our Devon Retreat combines inspiring trails, coastal adventures, heritage talks, outdoor activities, campfires, and shared meals into one incredible experience.

In partnership with the National Trust, part of YHA’s Festival of Walking, and supported by Dartmoor National Park, this retreat is about more than walking, it’s about connection, reflection, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

Last year’s retreat was such a success that we had to do it again, and with a new headline coastal hike on Sunday, plus a packed itinerary of optional activities, this weekend is not to be missed.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY – TIME TO RESET

The first two days of the retreat are all about free time, relaxation, and community.

You’ll be based at YHA Okehampton in Dartmoor National Park, a perfect hub surrounded by endless walking and cycling trails, historic sites, and activities.

We’ll have suggested activities and some guided options (short hike with Dartmoor National Park team on Friday, optional trail run Saturday, archery, axe throwing, wall climbing, campfire socials, etc.), but everything is optional.

This is your chance to:

• Take part in our organised activities,
• Follow one of our self-led suggestions, or
• Simply be totally autonomous and enjoy Dartmoor your own way.

Friday and Saturday are about switching off, making new friends, and enjoying a break at your own pace.

SUNDAY – THE MAIN EVENT (NATIONAL TRUST PARTNERSHIP)

• Baggy Point to Woolacombe Circular Walk – a stunning coastal hike with dramatic cliffs, sea views, and sandy beaches.

ACCOMMODATION & MEALS

• 2 nights at YHA Okehampton (Friday & Saturday).
• Meals included: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners.

THE WALK (SUNDAY)

Location: Baggy Point to Woolacombe Circular, North Devon

Meeting Point: Baggy Point National Trust Car Park, Moor Lane, Croyde, Braunton EX33 1PA

Distance: Approx. 10miles/16km

Duration: 5–6 hours

Difficulty: Moderate – suitable for those with a good base level of fitness

Start Time: Meet 09:00, hike starts 10:00

KIT LIST

Hiking boots or trail shoes recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, extra layers, water bottle (at least 1.5L), and packed lunch for Sunday’s hike.A full kit list will be emailed to you.
