We’re excited to bring you a brand new route for Muslim Hikers, starting and finishing at the beautiful Longshaw Estate in the Peak District.
This circular hike takes in some of the best-loved landscapes in the Eastern Moors. From the wide, open views of White Edge, Froggatt Edge, and Curbar Edge, to the shaded woodlands and tumbling streams of Padley Gorge, this walk offers variety at every turn. Expect dramatic gritstone edges, far-reaching vistas, peaceful woodland trails, and a classic Peak District mix of terrain and scenery.
With autumn colours still in the air and crisp November weather, this will be an invigorating and memorable hike.
THE WALK

Meeting Point & Parking: Longshaw Estate (National Trust), Sheffield S11 7TZ
- Café at Longshaw will be open from 9am for hot drinks and toilets.
Route Distance: 16km (10 miles) circular
Elevation Gain: ~330m
Duration: Approx. 6 hours (finish ~4:00pm)
Difficulty: Easy – a varied route with well-trodden trails and steady climbs
Highlights: White Edge, Froggatt Edge, Curbar Edge, Padley Gorge woodlands
KIT LIST
Hiking boots or sturdy trainers recommended, rucksack, waterproof jacket & trousers, extra layers, water bottle (at least 1.5L), and packed lunch.
