Event description

Description

Sucessive people and cultures have used religion to subjugate women, but this doesn’t mean we have an aversion to religion. We believe in the empowerment of women and we endeavour to take back what is ours as God has given us and we would give to men what God has given them.

The MWC vision is one in which we want to see a social and political faith movement driven by women, in the interests of the Islamic faith.

Our key aim is to advocate on issues that are important to Muslim women and to facilitate the social, economic and political advancement of believers.

Our basis is righteousness, Godliness and productivity. We believe that the current imbalance in gender relations has not only affected women but the entire cause of Muslims across society and communally amongst Muslims. Thus as women we stand up as helpers to Allah in all realms because we are missing and sorely needed. We are no longer asking for representation, we are now seeking to do it ourselves.

This event is for like-minded women who want to join us in this journey and who are willing to commit to the vision we are putting forward.

Light refreshments will be provided.
