Strengthening your cyber resilience in an increasing interconnected world

Our guest speaker this month is Patrick Milford from the South East Cyber Resilience Centre (SECRC), who will be discussing how to strengthen your cyber resilience in a world that’s more connected—and more vulnerable—than ever.

In this session, Patrick will explore how organisations can improve their cyber resilience in an environment where digital connectivity continues to grow – along with the risks.

The talk will provide a clear overview of the current cyber threat landscape, including the most common attacks facing businesses today such as phishing, ransomware, and supply chain vulnerabilities. Drawing on expert insights from the SECRC, Patrick will outline practical, achievable steps that businesses of all sizes can take to protect themselves, their staff and their customers from cyber harm.

The session will also introduce the free membership and services available through the SECRC, including Police CyberAlarm, Operation Configured and guidance on Cyber Essentials. Particular focus will be given to their funded security awareness training, now available to all SECRC members, which offers valuable staff education to help reduce the risk of human error.

Attendees will hear about real-world examples and feedback from recent training sessions, with testimonials from organisations that have already benefited. The talk will conclude with clear calls to action to help businesses build a strong, sustainable culture of cyber resilience.
