My Brain - applications for employee engagement
Thursday, 10 November 2016 from 18:00 to 20:30 (GMT)
Why Neuroscience matters for HR professionals
MyBrain International, is a company which provides tools and resources to help HR and L&D professionals bring the fascinating subject of neuroscience into their work. They are the authors of the MiND tool, a “neurometric” profiling instrument that helps explain why we are the way we are.
We know we are only at the beginning of understanding what goes on in human brains, however we are at an exciting time in neuroscientific research due to rapid advances in technology. No longer do we only have to rely on autopsies, or experiments on rats in labs or extreme patient observations in order to gain an understanding of our brains. Scanning technology now enables the medical profession to work with people in a broad range of contexts in an effort to discover more about what makes people tick in this emerging arena.
The implication for organisational life is huge, as evidence can be provided to enable optimising performance in the workplace, as well as the design of HR and people based programmes. Gill will discuss employee engagement, learning and leadership amongst other topics and explain the causal link between the psychology of a person and their physical brain.
Arrival from 6pm - refreshments and networking then 6.30pm prompt start.
