We would love you to join us in York, England, - or virtually - at My Brain : My Story on Saturday 4 October 2025.
This event is a hybrid event for anyone who wants to listen to the experiences of people who have been directly or indirectly affected by encephalitis. There will be opportunities to ask questions of the speakers and join us afterwards for a drinks reception (in person attendees) or virtual for the peer support gathering.

- Graeme Taylor, UK (person affected) - anti-LGI1 autoimmune encephalitis.
- Douglas Upton, US (person affected) - medication induced autoimmune encephalitis.
- Rosie Waspe, UK (person affected as a child now adult) - acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM).
- Sandeep Kumar Das, India (person affected as a child now adult & Team Encephalitis volunteer) - mumps encephalitis.
- Shirley Delos Santos, Philippines (family member) - anti-NMDAR autoimmune encephalitis.
Ticket Information
The cost to attend in person is £5.00
If you are joining virtually tickets are free of charge. If you are not able to join us virtually on the day please note that the event will be recorded which will be available for 30 days to all those who have registered for a ticket.
In-person tickets are limited, please book early.
The Venue

Venue is accessible by public transport. The train station is an approx. 10 minute walk.
Lunch is not provided , but there will be refreshments (tea/coffee/soft drinks)
