Suzanne McCarthy, Chairman of The Depaul UK
Suzanne McCarthy is Chairman of Depaul UK, a charity concerned with youth homelessness, and a member of the Board of Depaul International. She is a member of the new Fundraising Regulator’s Board and chairman of its Standards Committee. She is a member of several other boards including the Advertising Standards Authority, the University of London, the Architects Registration Board, the Senet Group and the Independent Advisory Panel for the College of Policing.
In addition, she serves as the Independent Appointed Person for the Greater London Authority. Her previous Board appointments include the Royal Institute of British Architects and the General Medical Council.
In her executive career she served as the UK’s Immigration Services Commissioner and Chief Executive of both the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
Suzanne worked as a solicitor in private practice and was a lecturer in Law at the University of Manchester. She holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge.
