About this event

Other

In this powerful personal account, Terrence Barnes, a former Royal Marine shares his experience of the Falklands War as a 19-year-old on the front line. From the landing at San Carlos to the intense helicopter assault on Sapper Hill, this rare perspective reveals not just the facts of war, but the emotions and realities faced by those at the sharp end. Marking the anniversary of The Mission Mistress’s final flight, this talk also reflects on the lasting impact of the conflict and asks: was it worth it - and what is its legacy today?
