My Mind is Free -Modern Day Slavery Awareness Event
This event is run by Migrant Help in partnership with Rah Rah Community Theatre Company and uses a unique and engaging way to raise awareness of human trafficking. The event comprises:
1pm: Welcome and an opportunity to network with other professionals and volunteers.
1.30pm Theatre production by Rah Rah Community Theatre Company called “My Mind is free”. The production uses a mixture of imaginative physical theatre and skilful multi–role playing to tell the interlinked stories of four people trafficked to and within the UK and their horrifying tales of abuse, exploitation and enslavement. Nominated for best stage play by the Anti-Trafficking Foundation in 2016 and Amnesty Edinburgh Festival: Freedom of Expression Award 2017.

14:45 Rah Rah Community Theatre Company and Migrant Help will run a 90 minute workshop which will cover local information and case studies and give those attending the chance to engage with the characters from the play, highlighting the difficulties and barriers when dealing with slavery victims.
16:15 Q&A Both Migrant Help and Rah Rah Community Theatre Company will be available to answer any questions.
