My Mind is Free
Event Information
Description
MY MIND IS FREE is a hard-hitting piece of theatre that moves, challenges and informs the audience. The production uses a mixture of imaginative physical theatre and skilful multi–role playing to tell the interlinked stories of four people trafficked to and within the UK and their horrifying tales of abuse, exploitation and enslavement.
The show will be followed by a discussion facilitated by the East Sussex Modern Slavery Community Coordinator from Stop the Traffik and other local partners who will look at the signs of trafficking and what types of trafficking are taking place locally. This will then be followed by a Q and A with both the speakers and actors.
‘The performance of the actors was incredible..... Long live this theatre production’ Anti-Slavery International
‘No matter what your existing awareness of human trafficking is, My Mind is Free is definitely an important show to see.’ FemaleArts ****
“I defy anyone not to be moved by it.’ WOW Kent
