Eligible participants must reside in the Thanet, Dover, Folkestone, or Hythe areas, with the course being subsided by Southern Enterprise Kent.

Breaking the Mold with ‘My Neurodivergent Self’

Society often values conformity over individuality, leading to a lack of understanding and support for those with neurodivergent experiences. This expectation can result in isolation, marginalisation, and unnecessary challenges.

Welcome to ‘My Neurodivergent Self’, a neuro-affirming series of workshops that celebrate neurodivergence, focusing on Autism, ADHD. Whether diagnosed or self-identifying, we create a space that acknowledges and celebrates differences, rather than dismissing them.

Join Staklife for Inclusive Workshops: Educational Facts, Rich Discussions, and Lived Experiences, Led by Neurodivergent Hosts Tristan and Emma, focused on topics like:

Communication Differences

Sensory Processing Differences

Marginalisation and Isolation

Intersectionality

Who is this aimed at

The workshops are aimed at those who are 18 + and are diagnosed as neurodivergent, are waiting on a pathway, who self -identify as neurodivergent or are questioning or exploring this as a possibility.

How many in the group.

We aim to have no more than 15 in the group, so there will be time for discussions

Do I have to talk or join in

Participation is encouraged but of course not compulsory. Please do what feels comfortable. If you prefer just listening, that's okay.

Where is the in person face to face venue

Community Creative Studios is a wonderful space to the rear of B&Q store near Westwood Cross. There will be a video posted of the location on our socials. Staklife CIC on Facebook and Instagram

Parking?

Yes, free parking at venue

Is it near a bus route

Yes. There is a bus stop right outside B & Q in both directions from Margate direction and coming from Ramsgate or Broadstairs direction. The bus numbers for the stop are 8 and 34 and are both part of the loop service provided by stagecoach. The Venue is approx 10 min walk from bus stop.
