An Evening for Aafia Siddiqui – Voices from the Frontline

Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui’s First Visit to the UK. With Clive Stafford SmithJoin us for a powerful and urgent gathering in support of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a brilliant Pakistani academic, neuroscientist, and mother of three, who has been unjustly imprisoned in the U.S. for over 20 years.

In this landmark UK event, we welcome Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui — Aafia’s sister and tireless advocate as the head of the global Aafia Movement — for her first visit to the UK, alongside world-renowned human rights lawyer and Aafia's attorney, Clive Stafford Smith, of the Justice League.

🗓 Friday 12th September🕑 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM📍 British Muslim Heritage Centre, College Road, Whalley Range, M16 8BP

🎟️ Free EntryAll WelcomeDr. Aafia Siddiqui was abducted in Pakistan in 2003 with her three young children andsecretly detained for years, including time in CIA black sites and Bagram Airbase. She reappeared in U.S. custody in 2008, charged under deeply flawed and contested circumstances, and was sentenced to 86 years in prison - despite the absence of credible evidence.

Today, she is imprisoned in FMC Carswell, Texas - a facility notorious for abuse. Aafia has endured:

  • Physical assault by prison staff
  • Years of solitary confinement
  • Severe physical and psychological trauma
  • Denied religious visits, medical care, and family contactHer suffering is not just a miscarriage of justice — it’s a human rights catastrophe.“Free the prisoner.” – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ“The worst case of individual injustice I have ever witnessed.” – Ramsey Clark
