In this seminar, Vishal Chatrath (Co-founder and CEO) and Dr Dongho Kim (Co-founder and CTO) from PROWLER.io talk about their start-up journey, when and how they recognised the opportunity worth pursuing, how they successfully raised their funding and what continues to drive them? They will also cover what makes their Artificial intelligence for Decision-Making different from others.

PROWLER.io was founded by mathematicians and engineers following years of research into machine intelligence, probability theory and multi-agent problems and managed to raise investment from China, Singapore and elsewhere globally, PROWLER.io raised an additional $24 million from new and existing investors, valuing the company at $100m. (Business Weekly, May 20, 2019). Their AI engine VUKU can process moving data in real-time, adapt to uncertainty, act on sparse information and learn from experience. It is data-efficient, does not need Big Data sets to be effective and is designed to have broad application across multiple sectors (e27, October 30, 2019).

Vishal Chatrath/Co-founder and CEO, PROWLER.io

Vishal is a serial entrepreneur and global manager whose work experience spans fundamental research, manufacturing, operations, R&D, product management, corporate strategy and business development. He has lived in 18 cities in 6 countries ranging from the equator to the arctic.

Dr Dongho Kim/Co-founder and CTO, PROWLER.io

Dongho’s research interests are various fields of machine learning and in particular decision making under uncertainty via reinforcement learning. He is originally from South Korea and a former postdoctoral researcher at Cambridge University Engineering Department.
