This Online Course - My Teen Brain focuses on the next key stage of brain development.

About this event

Course Overview

My Teen Brain focuses on the next key stage of brain development and shows how changes in adolescent brain, in conjunction with experience and environment, can affect emotions, relationships, sleep and attitudes to risk etc. This 1 day practitioner course will enable practitioners working with either adolescents or their parents/carers to have an in depth understanding of brain development and strategies to promote positive behaviours and manage conflict to enable them to support and guide young people. The learning outcomes of the training day should enable delegates to embed the learning into their practice.

Family Links have developed this training to deliver online. All the same content will be covered via a fully interactive webinar. There will be a morning session from 10-12am, followed by an afternoon session 1-3pm. All links and resources will be emailed to you prior to the course.

  • Tuesday 11th January 2022
  • Wednesday 2nd February 2022
  • Thursday 10th February 2022

If the course you require is fully booked (sold out) please put your name on the waiting list on Eventbrite. If the demand for more training is evident, additional session/s will be offered and you will be contacted offering an alternative date.

Cancellations

• All cancellations must be notified by email EHcommissioning@hertfordshire.gov.uk

• If a booking is cancelled within 10 working days without a valid reason, or the delegate fails to attend the course, a cancellation fee of £50 will be charged.

• Valid reasons include non-attendance due to sickness or a statutory role requiring the delegate to be elsewhere at short notice, for example, attending court.

• General pressure of work would not be considered a valid reason.

• Absence due to illness should be notified by email and corroborated by the delegate's line manager.

Privacy Notice: Information submitted will be used to:

•enable professionals to register for spaces on training

•confirm spaces and send all pre training information

•maintain a database of trained practitioners

•invite practitioners to follow on or related training

•send post training surveys to monitor outcomes.

The information you give us will be held by the Family Services Commissioning team of Hertfordshire County Council and will only be used to confirm spaces on training, maintain a database of trained practitioners, invite practitioners to follow on or related trained and send on post training surveys to monitor outcomes.

In order to deliver this service we will share your information with Family Links who are commissioned to deliver this training.
