Award-winning family theatre from Bristol-based theatre company Brave Bold Drama.
Told in a bold visual style with live original music, plenty of chances to join in and no scary bits, My Way or the Highway is a great show for families even with very young children.
We all have little things we love to treasure. Picture a small village near some woods sometime in the 18th century. Three villagers, three treasured possessions: a little boy with a wooden hoop, a girl with juggling balls, an old lady with a teddy she’s kept since she was a girl.
Trouble is, hiding out in a cave by the woods is Alf. A highwayman. Alf loves to steal toys. And he doesn’t care about sentimental value. If he wants it, he takes it. Without even asking.
But Alf isn’t happy. Alone in his cave, the toys he’s stolen in the day seem to lose their shine. Will Alf learn there are better ways to play?
Devised and performed by Paul Lawless and Gill Simmons, this performance of My Way or the Highway is part of the Family Arts Festival.
