Ever wondered what conservation grazing is? Would you like to manage land using grazing animals to benefit people and wildlife?

Join us at Folly Farm, a peaceful unspoilt landscape, with rare wildflower meadows and clear views across the Mendip Hills to find out more.

Nature Reserves Manager Andy Jones will lead us on a walk around this unique nature reserve and talk us through why conservation grazing is an important management tool. Learn more about the history of grazing, conservation grazing today, and get to know different grazing animals and the beneficial effects their presence can have on other species. Fingers crossed we'll get to meet some of the local grazing celebs at Folly Farm - Exmoor ponies!

Accessibility:

Most of this walk is off road, sometimes on uneven ground. We will adjust our speed to the slowest in the group and make sure we are all keeping up - you don’t need to be an experienced walker to take part. The route has some slopes and steps, some of the path is muddy and most of the route is unlit.
