About this Event
My Community 2020 is a project that aims to engage adults with low digital skills to create local history of tomorrow, by recording video or audio stories. The world of tomorrow requires more and more communication skills, but 44% of Europeans between 16 and 74 years old do not have basic digital skills. In addition, 2018 is the European Year of Heritage and its main objective is to increase the sense of belonging to a common space.
This event is a celebration for participants of the UK Digital Skills for Local Heritage training in the MyCommunity2020 project, as well as an informatory workshop on how to deliver effectove digital local heritage projects for those engaged in the third sector, and a presentation of the local heritage projects ocnducted in the UK, and across our Euroopean partnership.

This exhibition is open to everybody, and we invite you to come and join us in learning about local heritage across the UK, from Cardiff to Oxford, Milton Keynes to Stockport. Upon registration, you will receive confirmation of attendance, and on the morning of the event we will send across a Zoom link and a final agenda for the exhibition.
