myCourtroom Terms and condition of licence use please read before booking your place

Please read the terms and conditions below before booking your place on the CPD session. Unless formally agreed by the University of Kent, (or unless you have purchased a Trainer Package detailed below) licences may not be used to generate income, licence holders may not be commissioned to deliver training and are not permitted to share enrolment details with others. Licences are for use within schools/organisations or for own CPD.

myCourtroom Terms and Conditions for delegates that have attended the training session - for own CPD purposes only. It is possible to purchase a trainer package after attendance to enable purchasers to deliver training to their staff.

myCourtroom Terms and Conditions for organisations wanting to deliver training to their staff who have purchased the package in addition to attending the training session.

Objectives of the training session

At this training session you will thoroughly explore all aspects of this interactive simulation, looking at ways to highlight and manage issues raised. A comprehensive training pack (based on research and expert consultation) containing discussion points, guidance and references is included. 12 months free access to ‘myCourtroom' will be awarded once training is successfully completed.

Background to 'myCourtroom'

Developed with Cafcass and the Centre for Child Protection at the University of Kent ‘myCourtroom' offers professionals the opportunity to train on key aspects of the family courts. It is an interactive and immersive simulation, for use by both professionals and young people

a) For professionals: to learn all aspects of the family courts

b) For direct work with young people: to familiarise themselves with the court arena

1. CANCELLATION

a. The University reserves the right to cancel the Training up to 10 days before the Commencement Date. In the event of such a cancellation the University shall endeavour to contact you by email to inform you of the cancellation. The Client is responsible for checking details for any cancellation before travelling. The University is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred as a result of the cancellation.

b. The Client may cancel this Contract at any time by sending notice of its cancellation in writing to the University Key Contact (Commercial). If this notice is received less than 28 days before the Commencement Date the following cancellation charges shall apply:

Notice period Percentage of Price payable

Less than 14 days 100%

Between 15 and 21 days 50%

Between 22 and 28 days 25%

More than 28 days 0%

c. If the performance by either party of any of its obligations under this Contract (other than a payment obligation) is delayed or prevented by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, then that party shall not be in breach of this Contract because of any delay in performance. However, if the delay in performance exceeds six months the other party may cancel this Contract with immediate effect by giving notice to the affected party.
