Assessment is an important part of your module design and should align with your module's learning outcomes. The MyLearningSpace assignment tool is mainly used for summative assessment (but can also be used formative assessment), via methods such as:

• student submission by uploading files
• student submission by providing online, multimedia and web links
• students performing an "offline" activity e.g. an observed or on-physical-paper task where feedback and grades are provided online

• Setting up different types of assignments
• Dates for student access - start, due and end dates
• Allowing specific students extra time
• Originality checking using Turnitin
• Grading and feedback
• Aligning the assignment with the grade book and literal grades
• Best practice for disseminating assignments within your own online module
