mySociety has received funding to make their services more accessible to students and people aged 18 -25. They have approached Brighton SU to help organise a focus group, to get a better understanding of how information is consumed, shared and digested by this group, what type of information this is done with, and whether there would be anything that would encourage this group to interact with politics.
mySociety will run 3/4 focus groups around the country with people aged (18 -25) to get a better understanding of their interests, the way they find and share information, what type of information this is done with as well as any barriers they may perceive when considering politics or political involvement and whether there would be anything that would encourage this group to interact with politics one of the groups will take place at University of Brighton.
mySociety is a charity making websites that give citizens power. Now we're looking at ways to make sure everyone can benefit from our work, no matter how old or young, or how much they know about politics.
Come along for a chat and some snacks, and tell us how you use the web, how you get your news, and what would change you into a political person.
