Join Jess to delve into the Mysore world of Ashtanga self-practice! Perfect for those with an established self practice and also those who are new to this way of practicing.
Self-practice can feel daunting at first, but it holds so many incredible benefits. You learn to move more mindfully, connect deeper to your physical body and its needs, self-regulate in challenging circumstances and begin to sharpen the focus of the mind, so you can truly understand yourself and your thoughts and habits.Jess will begin with a short discussion around the lineage of Ashtanga self practice and how the mysore session will unfold. Then those who have an established self practice can begin to move through their sequence while Jess will teach the sequence individually to those who are new to this method. Everyone will receive tailored and individualised support. Expect to move, breathe and meditate while Jess supports you all individually. Self-practice is the way Ashtanga was intended to be practised, come and feel the benefits yourself.Perfect for:Those with an established self practice and those who are new to this way of practising About Jess:Jess began practising yoga in California, embedding it into her daily life upon realising the many physical and mental benefits. As a musician, Jess found that flowing, especially to music, was a valuable and expressive tool that could alter mood and energy levels, whilst also strengthening and releasing tension from the body.Now a 200hr registered yoga teacher, Jess’ classes are influenced by Vinyasa and Ashtanga practices while also embedding yin and restorative styles. Jess offers modifications and variations throughout her classes to make them accessible to all, builds awareness of the mind body connection and in turn, enables everyone, to feel the many benefits of a holistic yoga practice.
