About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

If you enjoy learning about Merton's past, why not join Michael Norman-Smith for this entertaining talk, based on some of the many local history enquiries that he has answered for Merton U3A and the Museum of Wimbledon.

Topics will cover everything from an Australian quilt and a family who lived at Wimbledon Windmill; to a postcard sent from Paris to Wimbledon; a suffragette whose cottage was painted by a South African; a short history of The Green; Belgian war refugees and the Cannizaro dogs cemetery.

This event is part of the monthly West Barnes Local History programme.
