Meet in Roman Empire Gallery 70 in the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3DG, nearest tube stations Holborn and Tottenham Court Road

The Roman Empire covered most of Europe, north Africa and Western Asia and lasted many centuries. This tour will explore how myth varied across time and place, examining high and low status art and artefacts, from vases and mosaics to lamps and coins. This visit will also stimulate ideas for the A330 EMA.

This visit comes at popular request from students who went to CathyMercer's autumn exploration of myth in Greek vase painting. The great thing about visiting Friday evening is that the museum is almost deserted – no school parties!
