NACCOM Funding Your Project Conference

This one-day conference is designed for organisations working with destitute migrants who want to make the most of their existing income streams, or develop new ones.
With Dominic Briant from the Metropolitan Migration Foundation providing a sector-specific funder's perspective on trusts and foundations, and input from a range of NACCOM Members giving their expertise and experience in different areas of income generation, we hope this will be an inspiring and informative event, whatever your income background or organisational size.
The programme for the day:

11.00 – 11.45 ‘A funders perspective’ followed by Q&A - Dominic Briant (MMF)
11.45 - 12.30 Creating a funding strategy – ‘a project’s perspective’ followed by Q&A – Julian Prior (Action Foundation)

3.45- 4.30 – Focus Groups (small groups with facilitated discussions about how to develop resources and what they’ll take forward from the day)- gathered together in final plenary.

Dominic Briant joined the Metropolitan Migration Foundation in 2016. Prior to this, he held a number of management and leadership posts with the British Red Cross in the UK and assignments across the world. The Migration Foundation invests in projects that aim to make migration work for migrants and communities with a particular focus on reducing destitution.
From 2017 onwards, the Foundation is increasing investment in accommodation services including a pilot integrated housing, support and legal advice project in the East Midlands.
Dominic is currently a member of the CCLA Ethical Advisory Board and is an independent advisor to Chatterbox, a social-enterprise creating employment for refugees whilst sharing expert language and cultural skills.
Julian Prior is the Chair of Trustees at NACCOM and has been involved with the network since it began. He is also the CEO and founder of Action Foundation, an award-winning charity in the North East delivering accommodation to both destitute asylum seekers and refugees, alongside other support services including English classes. Julian is also a fellow of the Centre for Social Justice.
