The National Asosiation of Funeral Directors' Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting is the highlight of the funeral profession's year and 2017's event is set to be no exception!
The 2017 Annual Conference is due to take place in Brighton, at the famous Grand Hotel. Year on year the Conference challenges perceptions, tackles hard hitting subjects and acts as an invaluable platform for NAFD members to network with corporate partners, colleagues and associates. The NAFD are thrilled to be joined by a number of high profile members of the funeral industry over the course of our Annual Conference and to kick off proceedings, the morning of Friday, May 5 will be opened by Caroline Nokes MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Welfare Delivery shortly followed by the Annual General Meeting which will feature debates on key issues affecting the funeral profession.
During the AGM, we appreciate that not all of our members are eligable to vote and that some attend the weekend with their partners, therefore, we are hosting a 'delegate partners' excursion' during this period. Should you wish to partake in this, please confirm your tickets in the 'tickets section'.
Friday night is set to be a whirlwind of candy floss, dodgems and fresh Brighton sea air!
Saturday’s programme of guest speakers includes the new Chief Coroner, His Honour Judge Mark Lucraft QC, and all the way from the US Lacy Robinson, the National Funeral Directors’ Association’s (NFDA) Director of Member Development.
In addition to a packed and exciting business agenda we are pleased to be once again hosting our prestigious Grand Banquet and Ball on the Saturday night. This will take place at the Grand Hotel and with the entertainment planned you are sure to be dancing the night away. Please note, that donations to the President's chosen charity will be taken on the night, as well as a silent auction taking place.
Sunday sees the close of the Conference with the historic act of Presidential hand over.
Delegates are encouraged to book their accommodation for the weekend by calling the Grand Hotel on 01273 224 300 and quoting NAFD040517 or NAFD Conference 2017. Accommodation is pre-payable and none refundable.
Please note that the negotiated NAFD delegate rate is inclusive of full English and Continental breakfast per room per night and use of the hotel gym. Due to a 46-week refurbishment of the exterior of the hotel, sea view rooms will be affected by scaffolding. To reflect this, all types of room are available at the inland room rate of £125.00 + VAT single occupancy, £145.00 + VAT double occupancy.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The nearest National Car Park (NCP) is directly behind the hotel on Russell Road which has over 500 spaces and is available to delegates attending the NAFD Annual Conference at a reduced rate of £15.00 per 24 hours (normally £30.00). There is no requirement to pre-book parking. When checking out, guests are simply required to present their car parking ticket to reception, where staff will provide a replacement ticket at the reduced rate.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, unless authorised by the NAFD head office.
