Naked Tree Identification Workshop
Overview
Do you know your beech trees from your birch? Or your willow from your oak? Join us at the Ashdown Forest Centre for a dive into the world of winter trees. The workshop will begin with a short presentation followed by a slow walk on Ashdown Forest where you will have a chance to put your new found identification skills to the test.
By the end of this beginners’ workshop you will be able to identify a number of common UK tree species in their dormant states using their key characteristics.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on leads, however they will need to be happy to sit quietly during the presentation which is being held indoors, and they may get bored on the slow walk.
The Ashdown Forest Centre and Education Barn (the location for the presentation element of the workshop) are now wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately the walk route is not suitable for wheelchairs. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Car parking charges apply.
