Naloxone and Overdose Awareness Training

Please note this is a face-to-face training at Via Merton, 7-8 Langdale Parade, Upper Green East, Mitcham, CR4 2PF.

Naloxone is a drug that can reverse the effects of opioids, such as heroin, methadone, opium, codeine, morphine, and buprenorphine. A naloxone dose can even save someone’s life if it's used quickly after they’ve overdosed on opioids and before emergency help arrives.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

· Identify the signs of an overdose

· Understand how to administer Naloxone and what steps to take next to help the person experiencing an overdose

· Be provided with a free Naloxone kit to carry
