Narcissistic Personality Disorder: State of the art review of theory, evidence and practice, focusing on Transference Focused Psychotherapy
About this event
This is a masterclass for senior clinicians working with patients with severe narcissism.
Professor Kenneth N. Levy, PhD (Department of Psychology, The Pennsylvania State University, and Senior Faculty Fellow, The Personality Disorders Institute, Weill Medical College of Cornell University) is a clinical psychologist who heads up the Laboratory for Personality, Psychopathology & Psychotherapy Research at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr Levy is a member of the Personality Disorder Institute directed by Otto Kernberg, and of the International Society for Transference Focused Psychotherapy
Dr Levy is an A class researcher who combines a highly productive research programme in personality disorder, with an emphasis on Narcissistic PD, with an active clinical practice. He lectures widely in the US and internationally.
In essence this is an invitation to attend an event which will combine cutting edge research which is embedded in live clinical practice.
The format for the day will be a theoretical evidence based overview, a clinical overview and live clinical supervision.
This event is organised by the Centre for Understanding Personality Disorder (CUSP) of the Centre for Psychiatry (Wolfson Institute, Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry Queen Mary University) and TFP-UK.
