NASA Astronauts come to Life
Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (BST)
As part of Life’s 10th birthday celebrations, you are invited to share the experiences of the 6 astronauts who crewed space shuttle Atlantis’ last mission to the International Space Station.
This is a rare opportunity to find out first-hand what life as an astronaut is really like. Commander Ken Ham, Mission Specialists Garrett Reisman and Michael Good, Pilot Tony Antonelli, and Mission Specialists Piers Sellers and Steve Bowen will talk about their experiences and there’ll be an opportunity to ask questions.
The event starts at 6pm when there’ll be an opportunity to experience outerspace in Life’s planetarium- the largest in the North of England!
The Astronauts talk starts at 7pm
This event has been made possible through the generous support o Newcastle Science City, Institute of Physics, NetPark, County Durham Development Company, Durham University and Newcastle ScienceFest.
