Description

“Tofu tacos are not Mexican. I think putting tofu
on anything and calling it Mexican is an insult to my people.” - Simone Elkeles

Welcome to another special from Tales Of Whatever. This time we tackle the season’s second theme- Nationality. In this show we’ll explore what national identity means to people. What’s the difference between being British and Scottish? Somali and Eritrean? Thai and Taiwanese? What is the thing that makes ones nationality so distinctive and does it really matter?

We are joined once again by four incredible people of different nationalities who will be sharing with us true stories from their own lives and how large or small a part their nationality plays in their lives.

Accompanied by live music or poetry.
