Regional virtual events for existing and potential employers of ATAC

About this event

National Apprenticeship Week 2022 (7-13 February) aims to shine a light on the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the country, whilst showcasing and encouraging everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help #BuildTheFuture.

To join in the national and cross-sectoral celebrations, the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) is hosting various events*, which include three regionally focused events for existing and potential employers of ATAC apprentices, and an inspirational networking event for existing apprentices of ATAC.

About these events

Join one of our regional virtual events and hear from cell and gene therapy employers already part of the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) programme and leading the way in STEM apprenticeships, and be impressed by a panel of our amazing apprentices already on programme!

The success of the ATAC programme is a credit to the original funder Gatsby, current funders Innovate UK, industry members, stakeholders and of course, our apprentices! We look forward to celebrating this team effort and how apprenticeships can help #BuildTheFuture.

*For the safety and wellbeing of everyone, all events will be held virtually. Upon registration, joining instructions will follow nearer the time.

Background

Back in 2018, following interim funding from the Gatsby Foundation, the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) was established via the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, funded by Innovate UK, to develop the first apprenticeship programme designed specifically to train and upskill individuals to develop, manufacture and deliver innovative advanced therapies at scale. The community has flourished, with over 220 apprentices from 46 companies on programme.

Organiser Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult

Organiser of National Apprenticeship Week 2022 – ATAC employer events (virtual)

The Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult was established as an independent centre of excellence to advance the growth of the UK cell and gene therapy industry, by bridging the gap between scientific research and full-scale commercialisation. With more than 330 employees focusing on cell and gene therapy technologies, it works with partners in academia and industry to ensure these life-changing therapies can be developed for use in health services throughout the world. It offers leading-edge capability, technology and innovation to enable companies to take products into clinical trials and provide clinical, process development, manufacturing, regulatory, health economics and market access expertise. Its aim is to make the UK the most compelling and logical choice for UK and international partners to develop and commercialise these advanced therapies. The Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult works with Innovate UK. For more information please visit ct.catapult.org.uk or visit http://www.gov.uk/innovate-uk.
