Join our conversation and share your perspective on Friday, 1 October

Professor Alexis Jay OBE, Chair of CELCIS’ Strategic Advisory Board, is hosting this online event to look at the care and protection needs of children and young people and their families, in the context of the proposed National Care Service.

As a leading improvement centre in Scotland, striving for excellence in the help and support for children and young people and their families and carers in Scotland, we have been focussing on what is known from the evidence, and our experience, about current services, systems, and the implementation of changes being made, and listening to many perspectives, not least lived experience, through the networks and groups we host at CELCIS and those we are part of.

As part of this ongoing conversation, we are holding this event to specifically look at the implications for those children in need of care and protection, their families and carers. This is a chance to discuss:

The opportunities this offers and what it will take to get it right for every child; and
What else needs to be considered or further questions clarified for this proposition to be in the best interests of children and young people in need of care and protection?

All so that Scotland can deliver on The Promise.

This online event is for everyone working in the child care sector.
