Description


Objectives for the Day:

  • To ensure everyone is clear about the national clinical agenda and what our shared priorities need to be;
  • To review what clinical senates and networks have achieved over the last year and to share our experiences of how clinical senates and networks are seen, how they operate and how they add value to their local health economies;
  • To identify the ways in which clinical senates and networks can support the delivery of the national priorities and, in particular, how the most challenging issues will be addressed;
  • To review key relationships including the interfaces with national policy leads, between senates and networks across the country and within health economies and between senates/networks and the commissioners/Health and Wellbeing Boards and Sustainable Transformation Plan (STP) boards;
  • To develop plans for action for going forward including business planning for 2017 and beyond

The Agenda will include:

  • Welcome from the Chair - Dr David Levy Medical Director NHS England Midlands & East
  • An update on the national clinical agenda - Celia Ingham Clark Medical Director for Clinical Effectiveness NHS England
  • Priority Spotlight on Urgent and Emergency Care from - Professor Keith Willet Director for Acute Care NHS England
  • An update on planning for 2017/18 and the Operating Framework
  • Key achievements to date
  • Supporting the delivery of the National Priorities
