With state-of-the-art campuses in Birmingham and Doncaster, the National College for High Speed Rail (HS2) is offering a great opportunity for 30 lucky people to enjoy an hour-long visit to the Birmingham hub on Friday 26th January from 2pm, which will include a unique and immersive VR experience inside the train itself and a comprehensive tour around the Lister Street facility.

Technical apprenticeships and managerial expertise

Launching fully-fledged specialised courses in September 2017, the National College for High Speed Rail (HS2) embeds an inclusive, communal approach offering rail and infrastructure-based technical apprenticeships and wider managerial expertise to a range of individuals, including new learners over 18 years old, existing employees in the rail industry and those looking for a career change.

New skills and valuable work experience

With Phase One of High Speed Rail estimated to cost over £19bn, providing a route from London to Birmingham that takes under 50 minutes, the College supports the need for new skills and employees, presenting opportunities to train and gain valuable work experience at the heart of the institution leading the development.
