National Design Guide Training
Event Information
About this Event
In response to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19),we have had to take the difficult decision to postpone the x event on x. We hope to re-schedule it for another date in either early July or mid-September and will re-advertise as soon as possible.
We are of course very disappointed to have to postpone, but our key priority is to reduce any risk this large event may place.
We look forward to seeing you at the event later in the year. In the meantime, design support services can be provided remotely if needed, so please do contact us if any help or support is required
These one day training events, for officers and elected members, will develop an understanding of the National Design Guide and support people involved in planning, housing and regeneration teams to deliver more, good quality, well designed homes and successful places.
After training delegates can expect to:
- understand how the Guide relates to local policy and planning practice;
- become familiar with the 10 characteristics in the Guide and their interconnections;
- understand design frameworksand how they fit into wider national planning policy; and
- be able to make practical use of the Guide to evaluate design quality.
