The National Ecosystem Monitoring Network (NEMN) is required under the European Commision's National Emissions Ceilings Directive (NECD), to monitor the negative effects of air pollution across natural, semi-natural and both forest and lake ecosystems. Researchers from University College Dublin (UCD) and the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) have been commissioned by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to design the next phase of the network in Ireland, in terms of sites and monitoring methods.

In this webinar, proposals for the next phase of the NEMN will be presented, and followed by time for questions and feedback . The development of this phase of the network has been a result of collaboration between UCD, UKCEH, the EPA and the National Parks and Wildlife Service, amongst others. We encourage all stakeholders or interested parties to attend.
