Description

The National Education Service - open seminar invitation

The Fabians' Education Group extends an open invitation to those interested in education to debate the characteristics of the Labour Party's proposals for a National Education Service (NES) for England, with a particular focus on schools.

It is time to construct a National Education System managed coherently with stakeholders to achieve a broad range of educational aims fit for a 21st Century society, and we invite your participation.

Hosted by MP Kate Green, the event is being held in Committee Room 9, at the House of Commons, 6pm-7.30pm Wednesday 7th March 2018.

Speaker names will be confirmed shortly.

The focus of the event is to gather ideas about the NES from the audience as well as the speakers and to address the question 'To what extent are the proposals for the NES suitable for children and pupils to prepare them for a changing democratic society?'

There is no charge for the event and it is open to all. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
