Description

Join us at the Fusiliers Museum to:

  • Promote the ideals and ethos of the National Education Union.
  • Build a solid campaigning base among our members.
  • Plant NEU roots in our multi-cultural community.
  • Discuss national and international issues affecting trade unions.
  • Provide a relaxed atmosphere for teachers, their families and the wider community to spend some quality time together.

The event will include:

  • Workshops, meetings, stalls, face painting, children’s play area, arts and crafts, caleigh band, yoga, food and refreshments

Workshops:

Fighting Back: Durham Teaching Assistants Value Us Campaign. "Still the Enemy Within" video – miners' strike of 1984-85.

Health and Safety: Hazards Campaign. Families Against Corporate Killers (FACK). Reducing Stress at Work.

International: International Relations. Stop the War Coalition. Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

Equality: Women’s Aid. Women’s Lives Matter. Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Employees

Campaigning: Louise Reagan - NUT President. James Frith - Bury North MP and Education Select Committee. Anti Academies Alliance. People’s Assembly. Supply Teachers Campaign.
