About this event

Join Open Book at National Galleries of Scotland: Portrait for writing in response to art.

We'll be reading stories and poems aloud, taking a look at the latest exhibitions at the Portrait Gallery, and using them to create our own writing in a gentle, guided session led by poet Sam Tongue.

Join Open Book monthly on Thursdays, 10.15-12.15 am. These sessions are IN PERSON at National Galleries of Scotland: Portrait 1 Queen St, Edinburgh EH2 1JD. We'll be meeting in the Foyer.

Open Book aims to be a safe space for all our participants and Lead Readers. This means our groups should be a place in which everyone feels welcome, respected and comfortable. We ask that you follow CARE (confidentiality, attention, respect, enjoy) and the Safe Spaces Framework each time you join a session. You can read the Space Spaces Framework here.

No experience necessary. All welcome, ages 18+.

Book a spot on Eventbrite, or feel free to just drop in!
