About this Event

FREE ATTENDANCE

What: Our Guinness World Records™ largest cream tea party

Where: Sage Gateshead, St Mary's Square, Gateshead Quays, Gateshead NE8 2JR

When: Wednesday 23 October, midday to 3pm

Come and help us beat the Guinness World Records™ title for largest cream tea party.

The National Lottery Community Fund invites you to help us celebrate the National Lottery's 25th birthday by beating the world record (Guinness World Records™) for the largest ever cream tea party.

To make this happen we need 1,500 guests to come along to enjoy a free cream tea – including a cup of tea, a scone with jam and clotted cream - on Wednesday 23 October 2019 at the Sage Gateshead.

Guests should arrive at midday with the tea expected to finish at 3pm.

To beat the record, everyone taking part must drink a cup of tea with milk and eat at least one wheat scone with clotted cream and jam – if you are unable to eat any of these then please do not sign up to take part (unfortunately we cannot veer from these requirements).

To allow us to provide enough scones and tea - and set a new world record - all guests must register for a place at the table and ensure they can attend the event.
