To celebrate National Manufacturing Day 2025 the Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council are delighted to invite local manufacturers to book 1:1 virtual appointments with our team of business growth specialists to access expert advice.

Appointments will be held over the phone or video call and will start at 1pm or 2pm with the following advisors:

  • Export & International: Paul Kallee-Grover MBE from Ki Partnerships Ltd
    With a strong background in international trade, Paul supports Liverpool businesses with their international journey, whether they are looking to export for the first time or are looking to reach a new market.
  • Procurement and Tender Readiness: Charles Grosstephan from Thornton & Lowe Ltd
    Thornton & Lowe are public sector supply chain experts and help businesses in Liverpool get in a better position to be successful with their bids.
  • Strategic Business Planning: Mark Butchard of Mark Butchard Business Solutions Ltd
    With years of experience supporting local businesses, Mark helps develop business strategies that are individually tailored to a particular company and reflects the wide variety of variables that make up its operations and growth potential.
  • Lean and Process Improvement: Jaan Scott of Matchbox Associates Limited
    Jaan works with Liverpool businesses to optimise their ability to ‘Work Smarter not Harder’ within the constraints of their available resources, through bespoke support designed to align with the aspirations of the business, with an overall goal to empower businesses to enhance productivity and efficiency to drive rapid growth.
  • Human Resources: Peter Waller-Flynn of Privilege HR
    Privilege HR provide Liverpool businesses with advice and guidance in a range of matters relating to their current workforce and also support with plans to recruit new staff members.


This session is delivered through the Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council which provides fully-funded support to existing businesses based in Liverpool and also to Liverpool residents looking to start-up a new business. We reserve the right to cancel tickets for those to whom this does not apply. Confirmation of your place on the session will be provided as soon as possible after you register and we will share any joining instructions with all those eligible nearer the day of the session.
