National Manufacturing Summit: Camp Oxy-Gen
Event Information
About this Event
'We need oxygen to survive'
Join us at this critical stage in our journey where you’ll have an opportunity to hear from:
- Sir Ranulph Fiennes, ‘The World’s Greatest Living Explorer’
- David Atkinson, Regional Director for the SME & Mid Corporates Commercial Banking Division, Lloyds Banking Group
- Prof. Jan Godsell, Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Strategy, WMG, University of Warwick
Camp Oxy-Gen looks at how we optimise our resources, even in the most difficult circumstances. How does business become 'fit for purpose' - reshoring and supply chains, putting our stake in the ground.
This event is titled ‘Oxy-gen’ and it’s in reference to the point on the mountain where the altitude increases and oxygen levels are depleted – it’s a life or death situation. This analogy can be applied to manufacturing industry as many companies ‘fail’ within the first 12 months.
This camp will give an overview of business 'basics':
- The skills pipeline
- Access to finance
- Solving the productivity puzzle
Camp Oxy-Gen will introduce resources such as the survival dashboard, business health check as well as looking at the information and data we need to survive and grow in a sustainable way!
