Join us for a poetry reading to celebrate National Poetry Day!
National Poetry Day is the biggest celebration of poetry in the UK and it is an opportunity to celebrate poets and the power of poetry. This year's theme is 'play.'
We need more poetry in our life, but too often we feel intimidated or uninterested in this genre, we might think it is too difficult for us to understand, maybe we are still haunted by school memories. Do not let this stop you from joining this reading, you will discover that poetry can be entertaining, relevant, beautiful, and much needed! Bring a poem to share (it could be one which you composed) or just sit back and enjoy the reading!
This event takes place on the top floor of Cambridge Central Library, in the Conference Room area. There is a lift, baby change and a disabled toilet on site.
